CHANDIGARH: The CBI court on Saturday allowed application moved by CBI to conduct lie detector test of two persons in infamous Sippy Sidhu Murder case. Sukhmanpreet Singh Sidhu, a national-level shooter, was shot by unidentified persons at a Sector 27 park on the night of September 20, 2015. His family alleged that the daughter of a former judge of Punjab and Haryana high court was involved in the murder.
Around three and-a-half months later, the case was transferred to the CBI in 2016.
The CBI had filed application seeking lie detective test of two persons namely Karampal and Simrandeep and on Saturday the special court of CBI allowed the application. Karampal is stated to be associated with Sippy Sidhu and Simrandeep was stated to be neighbour of Sippy Sidhu.
Sukhmanpreet Singh Sidhu alias Sippy Sidhu was a national-level shooter and corporate lawyer. He was found in a park in Sector 27 in September 2015. He was the grandson of the late Justice S S Sidhu, a former Punjab and Haryana high court judge.
